Fall is swiftly approaching, and with it, autumn school sports. Whichever sports your family is involved with, you can expect there to be some added color, however unwanted, to your clothes and uniforms. From grass stains to mud stains, we at H2O Laundromat have all the answer to getting those pesky spots out of your laundry!
Grass Stains
In the field of sports, grass stains are by far the most common and most difficult stains to remove. Before washing your clothing, create and equal mix of water and vinegar, and then gently rub out the stain. Additionally, a pre-treat detergent can be used to remove any lingering staining.
Mud Stains
They say that the most memorable days usually end with the dirtiest clothes. But what they don’t add is how difficult it can be to remove the mud stains. To remove mud stains, pre-treat with detergent and soak your garment in cold water for a half hour or until the stain is removed. Then, continue to wash as normal.
Sweat Stains
After a tough workout or long session playing your favorite sport, it’s not uncommon to be left with sweat stains. To remove these, mix equal parts baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water, and rub the mixture on the stains. Allow it to sit for a half hour, and then use a toothbrush to remove any extra residue before washing as normal.
